Have a question?

Answers to common inquiries.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, feeling lost or do you feel like you’re lacking purpose? I am here to support women and families through the many challenges and transitions that life brings. I am here to help you re-connect to your sense of self, to others, to your values and to give you meaning back in your life.

It is important you feel safe and comfortable with your therapist. If you are unsure if I am the right fit for you, I offer a complementary 15 minute phone call, to meet each other and talk about how I might support you.

If you’re interested in this option, you can email me or reach out via the Contact Us Page.

A referral is not required in order to book an appointment, however, if you would like to receive a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year, you will need to obtain a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP, prior to your initial consultation.

To obtain a MHCP to access a Medicare rebate for your psychological sessions, book a long or Mental Health Review appointment with your GP. Speak to your GP practices’ admin team if you are unsure.

As Wholesome Psychology is a private billing practice, meaning the full fees are payable at the time of your appointment, if you have a MHCP from your GP you may be eligible to claim a Medicare rebate of $98.95 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. This rebate is processed after your full fee payment.

In Clinic: $200 per session
Telehealth: $200 per session
Walk and Talk: $250 per session

These rates are subject to change.

* Mental Health Care Plans and Private Health fund rebates may apply.

With a GP MHCP – Medicare rebates (as of August 2025)
In Clinic: rebate $98.95 (out of pocket $101.05)
Telehealth: rebate $98.95 (out of pocket $101.05)
Walk and Talk: rebate $124.30 (out of pocket $125.70)

Private Health – check with your provider.

Fee Guidance:

The Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi) provide a National Schedule of Recommended Fees to guide private practice pricing.  For 2025–2026, the recommended fee for a standard 46–60 minute session is between $318 and $330.

It’s important to note that private psychologists set their own fees and these schedules are intended as guidance only. At Wholesome Psychology, we intentionally charge below both APS and AAPi fee recommendations to ensure support is accessible.

If you are experiencing financial hardship or are a health care card holder, please enquire.
